Eight Brazilian Stadiums Selected For 2027 Women’s World Cup

FIFA has officially confirmed that eight stadiums in Brazil will serve as venues for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, marking the first time the tournament will be held in Latin America.

Leading the lineup is the legendary Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, which will be one of the key venues among the eight selected to host the tournament’s 64 matches.

The eight confirmed stadiums include:

  • Mineirao Stadium, Belo Horizonte

  • National Stadium, Brasilia

  • Castelao Arena, Fortaleza

  • Beira-Rio Stadium, Porto Alegre

  • Pernambuco Arena, Recife

  • Fonte Nova Arena, Salvador

  • Itaquera Arena, Sao Paulo

These venues were chosen for their capacity, infrastructure, and geographic diversity, ensuring widespread national involvement in the historic event.

Tournament promises vibrant culture and lasting legacy

“This will be a celebration from samba to frevo, from stunning beaches to vibrant cities. The world will witness the energy, color, and warmth that only Brazil can offer,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The tournament is scheduled for June 24 to July 25, 2027, and will feature 32 teams. According to FIFA General Secretary Mattias Grafstrom, the event is set to inspire a new generation of footballers across South America and the world.
