Brad Pitt’s F1 Film Receives High Ratings from Critics Before Global Release

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the new Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt has achieved an 88% “certified fresh” rating — indicating positive responses from film critics.

The film follows the journey of Sonny Hayes played by Pitt — a former F1 driver who returns to racing after a 30-year absence. Together with talented rookie Joshua Pearce played by Damson Idris, they attempt to lift the APXGP team from the bottom of the constructors’ standings.

Critics have praised the spectacular racing scenes and thrilling action.

“F1 is super entertaining and mostly a bloody good time, though with some caveats,” writes Wenlei Ma from The Nightly.

“The races look real and thrilling. Most importantly, the viewer fully believes Pitt and Idris are actually driving these cars,” states Johnny Oleksinski from the New York Post.

The film, produced by Apple Original Films and Jerry Bruckheimer, also involves seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton as a consultant. The film will be released globally on June 25, while the United States release is scheduled for June 27.
