Brad Pitt Reveals Thrilling Experience Behind F1 Car Wheel

According to iHollywoodTV, Brad Pitt shared his remarkable experience driving the APXGP car built specifically for the F1 film — a vehicle utilizing Formula 2 chassis with Formula 1 bodywork developed in collaboration with Mercedes.

“It is such a high, unlike any experience I’ve ever had before. It’s shocking what these cars can do,” said Pitt, who portrays the character Sonny Hayes.

The veteran actor explained that the first weeks were about learning to trust the car’s capabilities — particularly in terms of braking and control in high-speed corners.

“When you’re going down a straight and they tell you can brake at the 75 yard marker, this car can slow down from 180 mph to 40 mph in an instant. The faster you go through corners, the more the car sticks to the ground,” he added.

Beyond the movie car experience, Brad Pitt also had the opportunity to drive the 2023 McLaren MCL60 at Circuit of the Americas — home to the United States Grand Prix.
