Brad Pitt Reaches 197 mph in McLaren F1 Car at Austin

Brad Pitt — the 61-year-old Hollywood star — has recently experienced driving McLaren’s MCL60 F1 car at Austin circuit. This opportunity came after the success of his F1 movie, which has generated over $300 million in global revenue.

During the driving session, Pitt achieved a speed of 197 mph — just three miles per hour short of his personal target.

“I got to hit 197mph this week. I really wanted to hit 200. You know, it hurts me a little bit — three miles per hour short on the straight. This was at Austin,” Pitt revealed on the Beyond the Grid podcast.

The onboard footage showcases radio communications demonstrating Pitt’s enthusiasm. McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown gave positive feedback on the actor’s performance — though still behind Martin Brundle’s time.

“I’ve just never experienced anything that’s just, more feeling of presence in my life. You’re so focused, but you’re not white knuckling. You’re just in this sublime groove. It is really extraordinary,” Pitt described his experience.

Pitt also expressed his gratitude to the McLaren team and Lando Norris who supported him during the session.
