Bourdais reveals Cadillac weaknesses after 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours

Sebastien Bourdais reveals Cadillac still needs significant improvements after failing to maintain their front-row starting positions at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours.

Car #12 driven by Alex Lynn, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens finished fifth — moving up to fourth after Ferrari #50’s disqualification. Meanwhile, car #38 had to settle for seventh place, one lap behind the winner.

“No, I was hoping we’d be more competitive in terms of lap times. We need to keep improving — we’re not where we should be,” Bourdais told Motorsport.com.

The French driver explained that Cadillac shows great speed when the track has high grip and low fuel, but suffers from excessive tire degradation during long runs.

Jota team, now partnering with Cadillac, sees this result as a promising start. Team manager Sam Hignett mentioned potential developments will be tested in the coming months.

“Yeah, finishing in top five is a good result. The level of competition is incredible — both from drivers and teams,” added Hignett.
