Boom Esports has claimed the crown as the victor of Group Alpha in the recently concluded VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 1, securing a decisive 2-0 victory over Detonation FocusMe. This win extends their personal group-stage record to an impressive five consecutive victories.

While the final group-stage match held no stakes for either teams, it underscored Boom’s dominance. They had already guaranteed their spot in the upper bracket playoffs after a stellar performance in earlier weeks. Meanwhile, DFM had been eliminated from contention following a dramatic loss to Paper Rex.

Game 1 on Fracture saw DFM mount fierce resistance, but Boom’s dynamic duo—Hildegard “Shiro” Arnaldo and their new Kazakh recruit, Dastan “dos9” Zhumagali—stepped up in the second half to shut down DFM’s efforts. Boom closed out the match 13-8 after 60 minutes.

Game 2 on Ascent proved far less challenging for Boom, ending 13-6. Dos9 faced friendly competition from veteran Fikri “Famouz” Zaki, who matched his 18 kills. Their only problem came from DFM’s duelist Ibuki “Meiy” Seki.

With their group stage dominance, Boom advances to the upper bracket semifinals and awaits the outcome of Talon Esports vs. Gen.G Esports (scheduled for April 26) to determine their next opponent. RRQ trails closely behind, also starting in the upper bracket while awaiting the results of T1 vs. DRX.
