Boom Esports Pushed Blacklist International Out of KWC 2025

Boom Esports HOK

Boom Esports has knocked out rivals Blacklist International from the KWC 2025 in a thrilling lower bracket group stage match. This intense Filipino derby also ended BL’s run in the circuit.

The best-of-three series was nothing short of breathtaking, with both teams displaying exceptional mechanics to swing momentum and counter each other’s strategies. Ultimately, Boom’s superior resilience proved decisive.

Game 1 saw BL secured a quick victory in just 13 minutes after capitalizing on Boom’s mid-game mistakes. Despite early Boom pressure, a poorly initiated team fight led to a BL counter-attack that sealed their fate.

Boom squad bounced back in Game 2 with a more patient approach. While BL pressured them early to mid-game, Boom’s composition power spike and solid defense gave them strength towards the late game. A failed BL initiation around the 11th minute allowed Boom to reverse the momentum and win by the 16th minute.

The decider round started with BL playing aggressively, but disciplined play from Boom allowed them to weather the storm. Eventually, after the 18-minute mark, Boom executed a crucial reverse sweep play to trap BL in their own base. After a hard-fought struggle, the Hungry Beast closed out the game at the 21-minute mark.

With this victory, Boom advances to face Gen.G in the lower bracket group stage finals tomorrow, July 19th. The winner will secure the final slot for the KWC 2025 Last Chance playoffs.
