Bologna Reach Coppa Italia Final After Beating Empoli 5–1

Bologna have advanced to the Coppa Italia final after defeating Empoli with a 5–1 aggregate score. Vincenzo Italiano’s side sealed their spot with a 2–1 win in the second leg at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.

Giovanni Fabbian opened the scoring for Bologna with a header in the 7th minute. Viktor Kovalenko equalized for Empoli in the 33rd minute, but Bologna’s star forward Thijs Dallinga netted the winner in the 87th minute.

In the final, Bologna will face AC Milan, who previously eliminated Inter Milan with a 4–1 aggregate win. Bologna had entered the second leg with a comfortable 3–0 advantage from the first leg played in Empoli.
