Boca Juniors relieved – Ayrton Costa gets special visa for Club World Cup

After previous rejection, defender Ayrton Costa has finally received a 26-day special visa from US immigration authorities — enabling him to represent Boca Juniors at the Club World Cup.

The previous visa denial was related to a criminal case in Argentina — Costa was involved in an aggravated robbery case in 2018 and has been serving probation since 2023.

A Boca Juniors spokesperson confirmed this special visa grant, while the US Embassy in Argentina declined to comment on individual visa applications.

Boca Juniors is scheduled to start the tournament against Portuguese club Benfica in Miami next Monday.
