At the close of Week 4 last Sunday (April 20), Bigetron Esports edged closer to the top of the MPL ID Season 15 standings by delivering RRQ Hoshi their first defeat of the season. The Red Robots secured a decisive 2-0 sweep, showcasing dominant form.

Game 1 sawBigetron kicked off the series with a stellar performance spearheaded by the duo of Junisen “Anavel” Young and Marcel “Moreno” Sinulingga. From the early game, they denied RRQ any opportunities to secure objectives. Despite RRQ’s resilient defense causing temporary setbacks, Bigetron sealed their victory at the 24-minute mark.

On game 2, RRQ flipped the script early, applying heavy pressure in the early phase. Muhammad “Toyy” Rizky’s gold lane dominance gave RRQ a lead within the first five minutes, forcing Bigetron into a cautious playstyle. However, Bigetron clawed back with superior late-game execution, isolating RRQ’s carry and securing critical objectives. They closed out the game decisively at 17 minutes.

The victory propelled Bigetron to second place with 5 wins from 8 matches, dealing a reality check to RRQ, who aimed to maintain their mid-season win streak. This loss exposed vulnerabilities in their strategies, signaling room for rivals to exploit.

In the mid-table race, Evos, Alter Ego, and Team Liquid ID sit tightly in third, fourth, and fifth places, each with 4 wins from 7 matches. Given their current form and tactical approaches, these teams are likely to remain locked in fierce competition heading into the season’s midpoint.
