Jakarta Bhyangkara Presisi Misses Asian Champions League Due to Schedule Clash

Jakarta Bhyangkara Presisi — the reigning Proliga 2025 champions — will not participate in this season’s Asian Champions League due to a schedule conflict.

The tournament, hosted in Osaka, Japan from May 11–17, began just two days after the conclusion of the Proliga finals, leaving no recovery or travel window for the Indonesian team.

Bhyangkara’s Strong Track Record in Asia

Under head coach Reidel Toiran, Jakarta Bhyangkara Presisi has consistently excelled in regional competitions:

  • 2023 Finalists, narrowly losing to Suntory Sunbirds from Japan

  • 2024 Semifinalists, powered by Earvin Ngapeth and Jean Patry, both French Olympic gold medalists

Despite their momentum, the timing proved too tight to allow for proper preparation or representation in Osaka.
