Sumardji, COO of Bhayangkara FC — who also serves as Chairman of the National Team Board and Manager of the Indonesian national team — has confirmed that the club is in talks with several national team players.

The Liga 1 promotion club is keeping the identities of its targets confidential for now as it prepares for the 2025/26 season.

However, sources have indicated that Bhayangkara FC is pursuing players whose contracts are set to expire soon, including:

  • Nathan Tjoe-A-On (Swansea City)

  • Jordi Amat

  • Justin Hubner

  • Shayne Pattynama

  • Saddil Ramdani

Among the names, Nathan Tjoe-A-On stands out. His limited playing time at English club Swansea City makes a move to Indonesia’s top-flight a realistic option, especially with Bhayangkara looking to strengthen their squad with experienced internationals.

Bhayangkara FC’s ambition reflects a broader trend of Liga 1 clubs looking to secure high-profile national talents ahead of the upcoming season, with an eye on both competitiveness and fan engagement.
