Bezzecchi fails to hold off King of Sachsenring’s attack in final Sprint Race lap

Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia Racing — who led most of the German MotoGP 2025 Sprint Race at Sachsenring Circuit — had to concede to the King of Sachsenring in the final lap.

Starting from third position, Bezzecchi took the lead after pole sitter Marc Marquez went wide at the first corner. However, the advantage didn’t last until the end — Marquez, who holds 11 German GP victories across various classes, managed to deliver a decisive overtake.

“I’m happy, it was a good race, and if it was one lap shorter, I would have been even happier,” Bezzecchi told GPone.com.

“In the end, Marc came very strong and I more or less expected it. When I saw the gap reducing on the pit board, I knew I had to push as hard as possible to prevent him from catching me.”
