Berlusconi family sells Monza ownership to American investors

Fininvest — the Berlusconi family’s holding company — has announced the sale of Monza football club to American investment firm Beckett Layne Ventures (BLV).

The agreement will be executed in two phases — transfer of 80% shares this summer and the remaining 20% to be completed in June 2026.

Brandon Berger who leads BLV — a company focused on sports, media and entertainment investments — is reportedly spending around 30 million euros for this acquisition.

The Berlusconi family has managed Monza since 2018 — the club based on Milan’s outskirts achieved promotion from the third division to Serie A. However, misfortune struck them after relegation to Serie B at the end of last season.

Previously, Fininvest was under the control of late Silvio Berlusconi — the former Italian Prime Minister who passed away two years ago and owned AC Milan for 31 years from 1986 to 2017.
