Before joining Chelsea, Estevao Willian reveals desire to play in La Liga

Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian — dubbed as Neymar’s successor — has expressed his interest in playing in La Liga, despite never wearing a Chelsea shirt.

Chelsea secured the Palmeiras player’s services in June 2024 for 35 million euros — but he will only join in the 2025-2026 season.

Estevao’s delayed arrival at Chelsea is linked to FIFA regulations — non-EU players are not allowed to transfer to European clubs before reaching 18 years of age.

Though officially a Blues player, the Brazilian national team member has surprised the public with his statement indicating interest in pursuing a career in Spanish competition.
