Beckham Putra Adds New Dimension in Indonesia Debut

Beckham Putra delivered a promising performance in his debut for Indonesia’s national team, adding a new dimension to Garuda’s attack during their World Cup 2026 Qualifiers victory over China.

Indonesia’s narrow win over China came through Ole Romeny’s penalty, with coach Patrick Kluivert trusting four Liga 1 players in the starting lineup:

Beckham Putra, initially not included in the first call-up, seized his chance in the 74th minute, replacing Yakob Sayuri and immediately showing his quality by creating dangerous opportunities.

“Regarding competition, whoever plays, the most important thing is that Indonesia wins the match. And whoever gets the chance must prove themselves,” said the Persib Bandung player.
