Bay FC is set to make history as they face Washington Spirit in a National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) match at Oracle Park — home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team.

Brady Stewart, Bay FC CEO, revealed the team’s ambition to break the NWSL attendance record with a target of over 40,000 spectators for the match scheduled for August 23.

“We’re excited to create league history alongside Washington Spirit as the first professional women’s teams to play at Oracle Park. We’re grateful to the San Francisco Giants for supporting our ambitions,” said Stewart.

Stephen Revetria, Giants Enterprises president, welcomed this historic moment — which will mark the first professional women’s soccer match at the legendary stadium.

Bay FC, which normally plays home games at PayPal Park in San Jose, previously set an NWSL attendance record of 35,038 when they faced Chicago Red Stars at Wrigley Field. The match will be broadcast nationally on CBS.

This event marks a major milestone in the evolution of women’s professional sports, signaling strong fan support and the growing popularity of the NWSL. Fans are expected to flock from across the Bay Area to be part of a landmark moment in sports history.
