Barcelona Set to Return to Spotify Camp Nou for Joan Gamper Trophy

Barcelona has announced their return to Spotify Camp Nou on August 10 for the Joan Gamper Trophy — the club’s annual preseason tournament.

The Catalan club has been playing at the city’s Olympic Stadium for the past two seasons — while major renovations were carried out at their main home. Despite returning to Camp Nou, Barcelona is expected to start the LaLiga season with three away matches.

After partial renovation completion, the club plans to hold matches with limited capacity between 50,000 and 60,000 spectators — while renovation work continues between fixture schedules.

The remaining renovation work includes:

  • Completion of the third tier
  • Installation of dual-level VIP areas
  • Roof installation
  • Final touches to various interior spaces
  • Development of stadium surrounding areas

“This represents a historic moment for the club and its supporters,” stated Barcelona’s official announcement.
