Barcelona Preparing Big Transfer Surprise After Joan García Signing

Joan Laporta, Barcelona president, revealed that the club is preparing a surprising transfer — following the successful acquisition of goalkeeper Joan García from Espanyol for 25 million euros.

Sporting director Deco has confirmed that Barcelona is targeting a new winger. Several names are on Barcelona’s transfer radar:

• Nico Williams from Athletic Club
• Luis Díaz from Liverpool
• Marcus Rashford from Manchester United
• Ivan Perišić from Tottenham Hotspur

Williams, the 22-year-old player, has become Barcelona’s primary target — with a release clause of 58 million euros. Deco recently met with Williams’ agent, Felix Tainta, to discuss transfer possibilities.

“We have brought in one player and are working on another exciting signing,” stated Laporta during a meeting with club members.

Barcelona now claims to be free from LaLiga’s financial restrictions. “Many obstacles were put in our way, but we managed to overcome them. We can now sign players without LaLiga’s intervention,” Laporta added.
