Barcelona frustrated with Nico Williams’ new demands

According to Bolasport.com, Barcelona is experiencing setbacks in the transfer process of Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.

Barcelona’s Sporting Director, Deco, previously held a meeting with Felix Tainta — Williams’ agent — and reached an initial agreement. The Catalan club was ready to activate the winger’s release clause after agreeing to personal terms of a six-year contract with a salary of 7-8 million euros per season.

However, the initially smooth transfer process now faces obstacles — the 22-year-old player and his agent have submitted new demands that have made Barcelona uncomfortable with the situation.
