LaLiga President Javier Tebas has signaled negative news regarding Nico Williams‘s planned transfer to Barcelona from Athletic Bilbao in this summer’s transfer window.

Barcelona and Williams have reached personal terms — the 22-year-old player will sign a six-year contract with a salary of 7-8 million euros per season.

The next step for Barcelona is to trigger the winger’s release clause from Athletic Bilbao — however, Tebas’s statement has become a new obstacle in this transfer process.
