Barcelona Eliminated After 3-4 Loss to Inter Milan

Barcelona suffered another heartbreak in the Champions League semifinals after a dramatic 3-4 defeat to Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium — extending their wait to reach the final once again.

Despite dominating with 72 percent possession, the Catalan side fell behind in the first half. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring for Inter Milan in the 21st minute — giving the home side an early boost.

Things worsened for Barcelona just before halftime when Pau Cubarsi fouled Martinez inside the penalty area. Hakan Calhanoglu calmly converted the spot-kick, putting Inter Milan 2-0 up going into the break.
