Banda and Kundananji Lead Zambia to Victory Over Senegal in Women’s Africa Cup

According to CAF.com, Barbra Banda and Racheal Kundananji delivered outstanding performances as Zambia defeated Senegal 3-2 at Stade El Bachir, Mohammédia — a result that reshuffled the Group A standings in the Women’s Africa Cup.

Senegal took an early lead through Nguenar Ndiaye in the fifth minute — but Zambia bounced back thanks to excellent combination play between Kundananji and Banda that produced an equalizer in the 12th minute.

Zambia gained the advantage when Kundananji capitalized on an opponent’s error in the 51st minute. Banda later extended their lead by converting a rebound from Kundananji’s shot — though Senegal managed to reduce the deficit through Ndiaye’s penalty.

In the other match, Ghizlane Chebbak starred in Morocco’s 4-2 victory over DR Congo with a hat-trick. This result propelled Morocco to the top of Group A on goal difference ahead of Zambia.
