Ban and yoman Sign Deals with Global Esports

South Korean Valorant pros Joseph “Ban” Oh and Chae “yoman” Young-mun have officially ended their transfer saga by penning deals with India-based Global Esports.

The duo previously played for separate teams. Ban was the starting player for Talon Esports’ roster from 2023 to 2025, competing in the VCT Pacific circuit. Meanwhile, yoman joined Gen.G Valorant in October 2024 but did not secure a spot on the main roster.

Ban had drawn interest from several Asian teams, but Global Esports was the only one to present a serious contract offer. Their addition surely brings valuable experience to a Global Esports squad that has struggled to achieve positive results since last season.

This latest transfer also hints at potential changes to Global Esports’ existing lineup, with rumors suggesting that old members like Federico “PapiChulo” Evangelista and in-game leader Kelly “kellyS” Sedillo may be placed on the trading block. This speculation makes sense, as Ban and yoman play roles similar to those of PapiChulo and kellyS.
