Bahrain wins AVC Nations Cup 2025 after defeating Pakistan in final

Bahrain men’s national volleyball team claimed the AVC Nations Cup 2025 title after defeating Pakistan at Isa bin Rashid Hall, Isa Town — the match ended with a score of 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-18).

The opening set was a fierce battle where Bahrain initially led 11-6, but Murad Jehan and Musawer Khan managed to turn the tide for Pakistan. A controversial moment occurred during Mohamed Anan’s serve which sparked protests from the Bahrain team.

Pakistan eventually won the first set through Usman Fryad Ali’s strike — making the score 25-23. The second set began with an even score before Pakistan briefly took a 5-4 lead.

This victory marks a proud achievement for host nation Bahrain, while Pakistan had to accept runner-up status for the second consecutive season.
