Bahrain ready to host AVC Nations Cup 2025 next week

Bahrain is set to host the AVC Nations Cup 2025 at Isa Bin Rashid, Isa Town — the tournament that will commence next week on June 17, 2025.

This Middle Eastern nation has been entrusted for the second consecutive time to host the competition that now serves as a qualification event for the 2026 Asian Volleyball Championship.

Last year, Bahrain also hosted the AVC Challenge Cup 2024 — however, their national team’s performance declined compared to the 2023 edition. The host team was eliminated in the quarter-finals against South Korea and lost to Vietnam in the 5-8 position playoffs.

Bahrain’s best achievement was recorded at the AVC Challenge Cup 2023 when they reached the final — though they had to settle for runner-up after losing to Thailand, subsequently failing to qualify for the FIVB Challenger Cup.
