Bahrain coach reveals reasons for defeat against Indonesia national team

Dragan Talajic — the Bahrain national team coach — explained the reasons for his team’s loss against Indonesia in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asian Zone at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta.

Indonesia managed to defeat Bahrain with a 1-0 score through a goal by Ole Romeny — this result propelled Indonesia to fourth position with nine points, while Bahrain dropped to fifth place with six points.

“Look at this, we are usually disappointing. Indonesia got this goal,” stated Talajic during the post-match interview.

The Croatian coach acknowledged that the single goal conceded by his team resulted from his players’ failure to anticipate Indonesia’s attack.
