Bahrain coach admits being too comfortable against Indonesia in AVC Nations Cup

Arnaud Josserand, head coach of Bahrain national team, revealed he almost fell into a comfort zone while facing Indonesia during the AVC Nations Cup 2025 match at Isa Sports City Hall, Manama.

The host team achieved a convincing win with a score of 3-0 (13-25, 25-27, 22-25) against Indonesia — a match marked by numerous errors from the Red and White team.

Despite suffering a heavy defeat, Jeff Jiang Jie’s squad still progressed to the quarter-finals as Group A runners-up.

“I was worried that Indonesia would put up fierce resistance,” said Josserand after the match that became valuable capital for Bahrain to maintain their prestige as hosts.
