Bahrain coach acknowledges Indonesia’s superiority after GBK defeat

According to Bolasport.com, Bahrain national team coach Dragan Talajic shared his thoughts after his side suffered a 0-1 defeat to Indonesia in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers (Asia Zone Group C) at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta.

The result keeps Bahrain in fifth place in Group C with six points — a disappointing outcome that forced Talajic to admit his team’s shortcomings.

“Normally, we are disappointed, you know that,” Talajic told the media after the match. “Indonesia scored a good goal that came from our mistake. After that, we had some chances, and Indonesia had one or two more.”

While Bahrain hoped for at least a draw, the 59-year-old coach acknowledged that Indonesia’s victory was not down to luck — but rather a result of better performance and quality on the field.
