The Bahrain men’s national volleyball team achieved a historic milestone — securing their first AVC Nations Cup 2025 title in front of home supporters after defeating Pakistan 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-18) at the Isa bin Rashid Hall.

Bahrain’s key player, Mohamed Anan, delivered an outstanding performance with 27 points — consisting of 26 attacks and one ace. His teammate, M Yaqoob, contributed 20 points with 14 successful spikes.

For Pakistan, Usman Faryad Ali led the scoring with 15 points — followed by captain Murad Jehan who added 11 points. Both teams recorded eight successful blocks, but Bahrain dominated in other aspects:

  • 56 versus 47 in attacks

  • 25 versus 21 in opponent errors

This victory propelled Bahrain up three spots to world rank 47 with 79.35 points, while Pakistan dropped to 42nd position with 92.83 points. The champion status also secured Bahrain’s qualification for next year’s Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship.
