Bagnaia Faces Ongoing Issues with 2025 Ducati Motorcycle

Francesco Bagnaia, the reigning MotoGP champion and lead rider for Ducati, is grappling with ongoing performance issues on the new Ducati GP25. These challenges came to light during the seventh round of the 2025 MotoGP season at Silverstone Circuit.

Despite Ducati’s reputation for producing the grid’s top-performing machines, the latest iteration — the GP25 — has presented unexpected difficulties, particularly with front-end sensitivity.

Post-race meeting reveals shared concerns

Following the sprint race at Silverstone, Bagnaia opened up about a critical team discussion, which included new teammate Marc Marquez.

“We discussed our performance in depth. During the meeting with Marc, we found similar complaints about the bike’s characteristics,” said Bagnaia, pointing to a common issue impacting multiple riders.

Teammates facing mixed results with the GP25

Bagnaia further elaborated on the differences within the Ducati camp:

  • He has not been able to replicate the consistency and pace of his previous season.

  • Alex Marquez, riding the older GP24, has shown better balance and adaptability.

  • Marc Marquez, now adapting to Ducati for the first time, echoed Bagnaia’s concerns — indicating this may not be an isolated case.

While Ducati continues to dominate in straight-line speed, internal challenges with the GP25’s handling and sensitivity could impact the team’s title chances if left unresolved.
