Francesco Bagnaia Struggles at Ducati as Marc Marquez Dominates MotoGP 2025

Francesco Bagnaia is facing a challenging start to the 2025 MotoGP season with the Ducati factory team, as new teammate Marc Marquez emerges as the dominant force.

In the first eight races — including sprint races — Marquez has claimed seven victories, while Bagnaia has only managed to top the podium once, at the Grand Prix of the Americas.

That sole victory came after Marquez crashed out while leading the race, allowing Bagnaia to take over.

A protégé of Valentino Rossi, Bagnaia is under pressure as he struggles to match the performance of the new arrival. The two-time world champion (2022, 2023) admits he is still haunted by last season’s collapse, and suspects Ducati brought in Marquez to shake things up within the team.
