Bagnaia Reveals Brake Issues Hampering His MotoGP Performance

Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati team experienced a contradictory situation at Czech GP — securing pole position but failing to reach podium in both sprint race and main race.

The Italian rider’s main challenge lies in the braking system — an issue that has plagued him throughout the season and left him 168 points behind championship leader and teammate Marc Marquez.

“Right now, I’m very slow at braking points; everyone is better than me. They can overtake me on braking like it’s easy,” Bagnaia revealed after the main race.

At the previous Aragon GP, Bagnaia tried using 355mm brake discs instead of 340mm ones. While this helped him reach the podium, the solution is no longer in use.

Currently, the team has modified the brake lever to provide similar effects as the 355mm discs. However, Bagnaia still struggles — the bike is difficult to control during braking and cannot perform aggressive maneuvers like last season.
