Bagnaia remains realistic ahead of Italian MotoGP at Mugello

Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo team chooses to remain realistic ahead of the ninth round of 2025 Italian MotoGP — despite many predicting his resurgence at the Mugello circuit.

After showing underwhelming performance in several series, the Italian rider managed to secure third podium at GP Aragon — however, this hasn’t led him to excessive optimism.

“We need to be realistic and consider the fact that the last GP was quite difficult for me until the main race. I did gain confidence on Sunday, but I finished in the same position as early season — third position,” stated Bagnaia.

The two-time MotoGP world champion acknowledges he’s still trailing behind the Marquez duo — Marc from Ducati Lenovo and Alex from BK8 Gresini Racing — who have dominated the top positions since the start of 2025 season.
