Bagnaia Fails to Maintain Dominance in Italian MotoGP Sprint Race

Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati team — who previously showed promising performance at Aragon MotoGP — had to settle for third place in the Italian MotoGP sprint race at Mugello Circuit.

The technical issues that have plagued him throughout the season resurfaced — the Italian rider couldn’t utilize the 355mm front disc due to lower braking pressure at Mugello.

Despite starting from the front row after outqualifying his teammate Marc Marquez, Bagnaia couldn’t maintain the lead position — his GP25’s front tire lost maximum grip early in the race.

Both Marquez riders managed to pass Bagnaia on the second lap, while in the closing stages — the Ducati rider had to work hard to fend off Maverick Vinales from Red Bull KTM Tech3.
