Bagnaia fails to maintain dominance at Assen after finishing third

Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo team ended his dominance at Assen Circuit after only managing to finish third in the 2025 Dutch MotoGP.

The VR46 Academy graduate — who previously won three consecutive races at this track — lost momentum while leading the race on lap five at the final chicane.

Despite starting the race perfectly and taking the early lead — Bagnaia couldn’t maintain his position after being overtaken by his teammate Marc Marquez in the 26-lap race.

This result repeats a similar scenario to last week’s Italian GP — where the two-time world champion also failed to defend his victory.
