Bagnaia Fails Direct Q2 Entry at Czech GP Due to Wrong Strategy

Francesco Bagnaia faced a new setback at the Czech GP — the Italian rider failed to advance directly to Q2 after Friday afternoon’s official practice session.

Despite showing competitive pace, poorly timed pit lane visits became the main issue for the Ducati rider.

“I’m not there because we completely missed the strategy. Every time I entered the pits, I was in the top 10. We decided to go with soft when we should have used medium — it was the wrong decision,” Bagnaia explained.

“Today we tried something that was too long to change on the bike. We missed the moment when everyone set their fastest times. The potential to be in top 10 was clearly there, but all our decisions were incorrect,” he added.

This season has proven complicated for the two-time MotoGP champion — Bagnaia continues to struggle with traction issues at the rear of his bike.
