Bagnaia Faces Grip Issues, Ducati Working on Solution

Francesco Bagnaia – who won 11 races last season – is now facing serious issues with his motorcycle.

“I suddenly lost grip in the front and couldn’t do what I wanted anymore,” Bagnaia stated.

The situation has become more challenging for the Italian rider after Marc Marquez dominated at Mugello by securing pole position, sprint race, and main race victories. Bagnaia now has 160 points – trailing far behind his teammate who leads the 2025 MotoGP standings with 270 points.

“With the current situation, it’s impossible to think about the World Championship,” added Bagnaia.

Davide Tardozzi, Ducati Lenovo Team Manager, acknowledges the difficulties his team faces.

“We haven’t found the solution yet. However, from data analysis, Pecco is still fast. We believe in him, but we’re struggling to find the solution. At Ducati, we work hard every day, and I think Gigi will soon find the solution,” explained Tardozzi.
