Francesco Bagnaia experienced a mixed weekend at the Qatar MotoGP 2025 — the Ducati rider finished second after a tire pressure penalty was handed to Maverick Viñales from KTM Tech3.

Despite reaching the podium, the Italian rider wasn’t completely satisfied with his result — Saturday’s qualifying incident forced him to start from the fourth row in 11th position.

“I’m happy, but not entirely,” stated Bagnaia to MotoSan, acknowledging that his potential was greater than the achieved result.

Extra pressure was felt by the rider nicknamed Pecco, both physically and in terms of tire wear — a situation that worsened after his intense battle with Franco Morbidelli from the Pertamina Enduro VR46 team.

“I need to be able to do what I did on Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday in the sprint I couldn’t be aggressive in overtaking, but today I could,” added Bagnaia.

Although he didn’t secure a win, Bagnaia’s strong comeback from P11 highlights his consistency and resilience, keeping him firmly in the fight for the championship as the MotoGP season progresses.
