Bagnaia disappointed with poor performance at Italian MotoGP

Francesco Bagnaia experienced a disappointing weekend at Mugello Circuit — venue of the 2025 Italian MotoGP.

The Ducati factory rider struggled to find his best rhythm since the first day of free practice — even trailing behind his teammate Marc Marquez. Despite bouncing back in qualifying to secure second position, it wasn’t enough to secure victory.

In the sprint race, the 2022 and 2023 MotoGP world champion had to settle for third place behind the Marquez brothers. Even the Gresini Racing team with last year’s Ducati managed to outperform Bagnaia.

In the main race lasting 23 laps, Bagnaia engaged in an intense battle with Marc Marquez — leading to an incident where his bike made contact with the rear of his rival’s machine.
