Bagnaia disappointed with performance in Italian MotoGP Sprint

Francesco Bagnaia expressed his disappointment after underperforming in his home Sprint race at the Italian MotoGP in Mugello Circuit.

The Ducati Lenovo rider — who initially led the race — had to swallow a bitter pill when he lost the front position after just one lap.

Despite a perfect start, Bagnaia couldn’t maintain his advantage on the long straight entering the second lap — his position was taken over by teammate Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez from Gresini Racing.

The Turin native’s attempts to reclaim first position at the second and third corners proved unsuccessful — Alex Marquez managed to outperform Bagnaia in that battle.
