Bagnaia claims third podium in German MotoGP after starting from 10th position

Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati team — secured third place at the 2025 German MotoGP held at Sachsenring Circuit, according to Speedweek.

The Italian rider started from tenth position — yet finished just 7.080 seconds behind his teammate, Marc Marquez, who won the race. This podium position became possible after two riders ahead — Fabio Di Giannantonio from Pertamina Enduro VR46 and Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia crashed out.

“I’m happy, but not satisfied. I feel positive about today’s race. Of course, I’m not completely satisfied. We need to achieve more,” stated Bagnaia.

“My performance was worse than last year. Consequently, we need to improve our performance. However, we are on the right track,” he added.

Responding to his unfavorable starting position, Bagnaia joked — “This year, it probably doesn’t matter whether I start from the front or back. I always finish in third position.”
