Bad Weather Threatens Manchester City’s Club World Cup Match

FIFA has expressed concerns about potential weather disruption for the Club World Cup match between Manchester City and Al Hilal scheduled in Orlando.

These concerns follow Chelsea’s match against Benfica this weekend which was halted for nearly two hours – extending the total game duration to 4 hours and 39 minutes due to thunderstorms in Charlotte.

Weather forecasts indicate thunderstorms will hit Orlando during the match at Camping World Cup Stadium. According to US regulations, game activities must stop and stadium evacuation is required if storms are detected within an eight-mile radius.

“I am an extraordinary manager but to control lightning and thunder, I am still not good enough, I am sorry,” Pep Guardiola joked during the press conference.

The tournament has already experienced six game suspensions due to adverse weather – a situation that Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca called “a joke”.
