Ayrton Costa receives special US visa for Club World Cup

After previous rejection, defender Ayrton Costa has finally received a 26-day special visa from US immigration authorities — allowing him to represent Boca Juniors at the Club World Cup.

The previous visa denial was related to a criminal case in Argentina in 2018 — where Costa was involved in an aggravated robbery and received a probationary sentence in 2023.

Boca Juniors will start the tournament against Portuguese club Benfica in Miami next Monday. The US Embassy in Argentina declined to comment on individual visa applications.
