Avulus is rumored to be planning a massive roster overhaul due to the team’s consistently underwhelming performance in recent months. The revamp is reportedly being spearheaded by veteran captain Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev.

Since its inception in August 2024, the team has failed to achieve notable results in top-tier Dota 2 competitions. Most recently, they were eliminated early from PGL Wallachia Season 4 after consecutive losses to Parivision, Nigma Galaxy and Heroic.

The poor results have prompted the team to consider a complete roster rebuild and focus on thorough preparation ahead of next month’s ESL DreamLeague Season 26. According to a report from Fissure on social media, Avulus will soon hold trials for players, with SoNNeikO at the helm.

The 27-year-old captain is expected to remain the sole surviving member of Avulus, alongside head coach Andrey “Mag” Chipenko. Meanwhile, Andreas “Xibbe” Ragnemalm and Aliaksei “Smiling Knight” Svirydau are likely to follow their former teammates who exited the team in March.
