Avulus has just announced a surprise move by recruiting veteran Tal “fly” Aizik as a stand-in for their Dota 2 squad ahead of the upcoming PGL Wallachia Season 4 competition, set to begin this Saturday morning (April 19).

Fly will replace Akbar “SonneikO” Butaev, who is unable to attend due to visa issues. The 32-year-old Israeli player will take on the position 5 role, completing the squad currently composed of Fabian “Mo13ei” Knehr, Athanasios “dEsire” Kartsabas, Aliaksei “Smiling Knight” Svirydau, and Andreas “Xibbe” Ragnemalm.

Fly’s addition is expected to boost the team’s performance with his solid gameplay and proven experience in high-stakes matches. Over the past decade, he has played for top-tier teams such as Evil Geniuses, OG, Shopify Rebellion, and Nouns. During this period, he clinched titles at several prestigious Major tournaments, including those in Kyiv, Boston, and Frankfurt.

After departing Nouns, he has primarily appeared as a commentator for a numerous top Dota 2 events, such as ESL One Raleigh 2025 and The International 2024. However, his consistent performance continues to make him a sought-after choice for teams seeking short-term stand-ins.
