Australia Fully Focused Ahead of Crucial Tie vs Japan

Citing Socceroos, the Australia national football team is showing strong confidence as they aim for direct qualification to the 2026 World Cup, ahead of a crucial Group C clash against Japan.

Assistant coach Hayden Foxe emphasized the team’s focused approach in preparing for the match, which will be held at Perth Stadium in early June.

“We’re just taking it one day at a time, one training session at a time. As we get closer to the match, we’ll begin to focus on Japan, on how we prepare for them,” Foxe said.

“Once we get everyone into camp, we’ll take it game by game — that’s all we can do,” he added.

Under the Asian qualifiers format, the top two teams from each group will earn a direct ticket to the 2026 World Cup, making the clash against Japan a pivotal moment for Australia.
