ATF Promises Team Falcons Surprise After Rocky Start to Dota 2 EWC 2025

Team Falcons star carry Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf recently responded to critics who claimed his team was finished and predicted they’d fail at the ongoing Dota 2 EWC 2025 in Saudi Arabia.

After an unimpressive group stage where Falcons placed third (with two draws, one loss, and zero wins), some fans doubted their chances in the next round.

Surprisingly, they went on crushing Virtus.pro and the dark horse Navi with decisive wins in both matches. This strong performance secured their spot in the main playoffs and restored their supporters’ faith, noting a dramatic team improvement in just days.

ATF confirmed the team made adjustments to solidify their gameplay. He also suggested their earlier poor results might actually be an advantage now, making their playstyle even harder to predict.

“People probably think we just don’t play well, and there’s a chance that’s the case. But it’s likely that the new changes that make our game now invisible will help us win big tournaments, because we haven’t shown anything in over a month,” he said during an EWC 2025 interview.

As defending champions, the Desert Falcons still face tough matches ahead to defend their pride as the home team.
