Astini Says Parivision Still Grappling with Communication Issue

The head coach of the Dota 2 team Parivision, Filipe “Astini” Ribeiro, recently revealed communication issues that have led to a numerous inconsistent plays from his team in recent matches, particularly over the past month and a half.

Despite strong performances at recent tournaments like ESL One Raleigh 2025 and PGL Wallachia Season 4, the squad’s tactical execution has wavered, with disjointed strategies and missed big opportunities drawing criticism—especially after recent dramatic loss to Team Liquid.

Regarding that situation, Astini addressed the concerns and explained the root of the problem. The Brazilian coach pointed out that there are language barriers that occasionally hinder their coordination:

“It seems that we started communicating worse after switching from English to Russian. And we started saying a lot of nonsense during the game.”

This shift has been challenging for Astini, who primarily speaks Portuguese and struggles to direct his Russian-speaking players effectively. Therefore, it should be more effective to communicate in English—a common middle ground—in discussions.

Team captain Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin, however, downplayed the issue. Since February, he has pushed teammates to embrace Russian for smoother dialogue, emphasizing that fluency in their native tongue allows for more honest exchanges.
