Aspas Crashes Out Winless from Masters Toronto

Brazilian Valorant powerhouse MIBR, led by star player Erick “aspas” Santos, has suffered a shocking early exit from the Masters Toronto 2025 Swiss Stage, as the tean finished at the bottom of the standings after failing to win a single match.

Concerns arose immediately on Day 1 when the Brazilian Pride met Gen.G. They struggled throughout both maps (Sunset and Haven), putting up little resistance and suffering heavy defeats (1-13 and 5-13).

With their back against the wall, MIBR doubled down for survival early this morning (June 11th) against Team Liquid. However, they again failed to figure out Liquid’s pressing strategy across two games.

On Game 1 map Icebox, youngster Max “Verno” Motta put up an impressive fight, but MIBR eventually managed only 6 rounds before ended up with 6-13 defeat. Moving on to Game 2 map Sunset, MIBR offered brief resistance, but their tactics were quickly figured out, leading to another loss 7-13.

This 0-2 record placed them at the bottom of the standings. Compounding the disappointment, aspas – who was expected to inspire his team – got it rough as he ended the group stage as one of the worst fraggers, posting an ACS of 128.9, a K/D of 0.53, and an ADR of 88.8 across 71 rounds played.

MIBR wasn’t the only who left too soon. EMEA’s The Heretics also exited Masters Toronto today with an identical 0-2 record, although their overall statistics were slightly better than the former.
